Message in a Bottle Meme...What ever shall I do?
HELP ME! HELP ME! I'm in Queen Mimi's dungeon and I must get out. There are eerie creepy crawly things down here and I don't like them. Especially that nasty, big eyed, slimey frog over there on the wall. EWWWWWW!!! Ok, you don't have to help me get out... I'll do it on my own... fine!!! ;-) I've been tagged with a Message in a Bottle meme... **Start Copy** Here are the rules: You are about to send a virtual Message In a Bottle across the Blog Ocean. Well folks, here it is... my message in a bottle I really had a hard time with this one. I hope that it's good enough to get me out of this creepy dungeon. I don't know why I couldn't get it to format any better. I've NEVER had this problem before. HMMMM Heavens to Betsy... I can't even get the linky thingy to work... what ever shall I do??? So I know that I'm suppose to tag five people. But since I'm probably one of the last few I tag who ever hasn't done theirs yet. SMOOCHES~ |

My Personality????
First of all I want to say congratulations to the University of Tennessee Men's basketball team. Unfortunately they beat my Memphis Tigers Saturday night but what a game it was. Anyone who follows sports knows that the Tigers can't hit a free throw worth a crap so they left 11 points on the free throw line. That can cost any team a game and so it did. However, we now have No. 1 Tennessee and N0. 2 Memphis in the AP poll... so I'm still happy. Tennessee has to play Vanderbilt Tuesday night on the road. Hearing a lot of talk that Tennessee may have problems with them. They also have to play Turnbaby's Kentucky Wildcats soon and from my understanding the Wildcats will be out for blood. So that being said... Memphis could be No. 1 again... time will tell. One thing is for certain, they will have a No. 1 seed come tourny time... this I'm sure... So I found this over at Julie's who found it over at Trav's who found it ... well I don't know... but I thought it was cute and decided to find out what my true personality was... So I did the first one with my real name
Here's the one with my alias
Which one is the REAL me... Can you guess??? SMOOCHES~ |

Manic Monday
Today's Manic Monday word is brought to you by the number 2. Thanks Mo! I'm posting TWO classic songs by Meatloaf... I have never seen or heard anybody come close to singing with the same level of passion and intensity as Meatloaf. His amazing voice sends chills up my spine and gives me goose bumps all over! I can remember parking on a deserted road and making out with my 17 year old boyfriend in his dads car with these TWO songs playing on the tape cassette. That was many, many moons ago. Some good songs and some good things never change. The boy has since gone, but I always remember that special time in my life when I hear this song :). Songs like this are timeless. TWO OUT OF THREE AIN'T BAD, MEATLOAF Here is another classic PARADISE BY THE DASHBOARD LIGHT , MEATLOAF The majority of the music today is crap. These are timeless classics. So here you have my TWO song choices for today. ENJOY & SMOOCHES~ Labels: Meatloaf |

The Marines Fight for Us, Let's Fight for Them
CLICK THE PICTURE FOR MORE INFORMATION I received this in my work e-mail today. I find what the city of Berkeley is doing is repulsive. What gives this City the right to treat our Marine Corps this way? I have put in three links here just in case you miss one. Please go to Move America Forward and check it out. You will find some very interesting reading. The below is from Senator Jim DeMent: The City Council of Berkeley last week voted to ask the U.S. Marine Corps to vacate their recruiting office in town, and that if they chose to stay they did so as "uninvited and unwelcome intruders." Berkeley also voted to give the radical liberal group Code Pink a parking space to protest the Marine Corps and urged them to "impede, passively or actively" the work of Marine Corps recruiters. During debate of the resolution, one council member called the Marines "the President's own gangsters" and "trained killers." Another said the Marines had given the country "horrible karma" and said they had a history of "death and destruction. " In a document drafted to support the resolution against the Marines, the council stated: "Military recruiters are sales people known to lie to and seduce minors and young adults into contracting themselves into military service with false promises regarding jobs, job training, education and other benefits." I do not believe a city that has turned its back on our country's finest deserves $2 million worth of pork-barrel projects. This week I introduced the Semper Fi Act of 2008. The bill would rescind over $2 million in hidden earmarks for Berkeley, California in the 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill, and transfer the funds to the Marine Corps But I need your help. I'm currently working with MoveAmericaFoward. org to petition members of Congress to support the Semper Fi Act of 2008. Here are some ways you can help: Tell five people to tell five people about the situation in Berkeley, CA Call the Berkeley County Council Members and tell them to support the troops Meanwhile, the Marines will continue to bring peace, security, and freedom to the citizens of Berkeley, whether they like it or not. There is a well known slogan outside the Marine Air Base in Beaufort, SC warning passersby of the jets' loud noises. The slogan says, "The noise you hear is the sound of freedom." The irony is the Marines are glad to do it and that is why most Americans are so proud of them. The Marines risk so much fighting for us, now it's time us to fight for them. Sincerely, Senator Jim DeMint P.S. We can strengthen America. Change begins with you, so please get involved today and sign the petition at MoveAmericaForward.org DO IT PLEASE... As for us.... We are safe.
Thanks to all of you who have e-mailed me since Tuesday night. What a wicked night of storms. There are no words to describe the devastation that has hit not only Tennessee but Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Kentucky. Most of you know that I live in a very small community of 365 people. Everybody knows everybody and if one of those tornados had come through this community it would have wiped it out. There were two that was spotted to hit our small town head on. They didn't... one went round to the south of us and one went around to the north of us. We are blessed. There were so many more that wasn't. The one that went south of us is another small community which is only 4 miles down the road. The one that went north and hit is about 10 miles from my town. Again... we were blessed. I'm sure everyone has heard of the tornado that hit Jackson, TN. I work in Jackson. I work about 3 - 4 miles from Union University which was heavily damaged. The tornado went right over our plant but did not touch it. Please remember to keep all the victims of this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers. If this is any indication of March and April... I'm moving somewhere else. SMOOCHES~ |

Because I'm the Mom.... that's why!!!!
How many times have you said to your kids... no wait... yelled at your kids... "BECAUSE I'M THE MOM.... THAT WHY!?!?!?!?!" I have found myself saying that in my sleep... While I was doing some blog rounds I found this youtube video over at Lois' place. What this funny lady has done has taken what any mom would say in a 24 hour period and condensed it to 2:55... yes that's right... two minutes 55 seconds... Let me tell you this is absolutely hilarious. I can sooooooooo relate ... ENJOY! |

Autism Awareness
Beautiful video and song and phenomenal reason to watch... The band, Five for Fighting, is generously donating $0.40 to Autism Speaks for *each time* the video is viewed. It's true...check it out here: SNOPES The funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure. When you have a moment, please visit the link below to watch the video and pass it along to your friends and family. They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them to surpass this goal. Click the baby picture for the video I am so very thankful that neither one of my children was diagnosed with this horrible disease. However, there are so many that are and there is NO CURE. For the sake of all the families who have autistic children please, please click the baby above and watch the video. This is a beautiful little girl whose family is wanting something done.
