Manic Monday

Happy Monday.

Mo says that today's Manic Monday word is PULL. Let me see what I can pull out of my thoughts for you today.
Thank you Mo for today's word PULL...

The University of Memphis Tigers
danced and pulled their way into the NCAA Final Four Sunday by defeating the Texas Longhorns in the Elite 8 showdown in Houston by a final score of 85 - 67 GO TIGERS GO... so with that being said I'm dedicating today's Manic Monday to the Tigers...

GO TIGERS GO!!!!

Manic Monday

Happy Manic Monday after Easter. Mo says that today's word is "Egg". I didn't want to do anything related to Easter Eggs so this is what I came up with. Thank you Mo for the Manic Monday word of the day!!!

Do you remember this from your childhood? Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham...

Happy Manic Monday all.

I'm reading a book trying to remember how to color Easter eggs....It's been so long that I don't know if I can remember how to do this or not... have always used the plastic ones...oh never mind... I'm sticking with the plastic eggs again this year. Besides I have NO CHILDREN at home this year.

Happy Easter everyone.

Ethel!

Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and loved to charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors. Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic, the other residents tolerated her and some of them actually joined in.

One day Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door opened, and Kooky Clarence stepped out with his arm outstretched.

'STOP!,' he shouted in a firm voice. 'Have you got a license for that thing?'

Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him.

'OK' he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall.

As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, weird Harold popped out in front of her and shouted 'STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?'

Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a drink coaster, and held it up to him. Harold nodded and said 'On your way, Ma'am.'

As Ethel neared the final corridor, Crazy Craig stepped out infront of her, Butt- Naked, and holding his 'You-Know- What' in his hand.

'Oh, good grief,' yelled Ethel, 'Not that Damn Breathalyzer Test again.!!!'

Wal Mart Applicant

This is an actual job application that a 75 year old senior citizen submitted to Walmart in Arkansas . They hired him because he was so funny.....

NAME: Kenneth Way (Grumpy Old Bastard)

SEX: Not lately, but I am looking for the right woman (or at least one whowill cooperate)

DESIRED POSITION: Company's President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever's available . If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place

DESIRED SALARY: $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle.

EDUCATION: Yes.

LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle management hostility.

PREVIOUS SALARY: A lot less than I'm worth.

MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes.

REASON FOR LEAVING: It sucked.

HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any.

PREFERRED HOURS: 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS?: Yes, but they're better suited to a more intimate environment .

MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER?: If I had one, would I be here?

DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 lbs.?:Of what?

DO YOU HAVE A CAR?: I think the more appropriate question here would be 'Do you have a car that runs?'

HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION?: I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes, so they tell me.

DO YOU SMOKE?: On the job - no! On my breaks - yes!

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS?: Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde supermodel who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now.
NEAREST RELATIVE....7 miles

DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE?: Oh yes, absolutely.

IT SNOWED!!!!!

This picture was taken around 10:00pm Friday after it had been snowing for about 4 hours.

Everyone knows that it doesn't snow very often in the great state of Tennessee... or in West Tennessee where I live... but when it does we think it's just absolutely beautiful.

It started Friday afternoon first as sleet. Then by around 6:00 pm it was a full blown snow storm.

And this is what we woke up to Saturday morning... beautiful I tell you... beautiful...

Kaitlin all dressed ready to play in the snow.

Kaitlin's attempt at a snowman...a one eyed snowman at that... she tried...

But by Saturday afternoon this is what it looked like....melting away...

And Sunday morning it was almost all gone...
So now we've had our seasonal snow fall... I'm ready for spring and warm weather.
SMOOCHES~

How did he know?

Red Skelton made this in 1969. Here he is talking about when he was in grade school which was probably in the 1920's or 1930's. How would he know that in the future men would want to take out any words that mention GOD?

The monotony of the pledge is not what makes the people forget its meaning. It's the way politics have so destroyed the principles the pledge has told us to uphold. Few say it with passion anymore because few believe that's what the flag -actually- stands for.

If we could just go back and never fall from the grace of god ,we would all be better people and stronger as a community... Sisters and brothers as "ONE".

This is an inspiring speech. One that I believe we all can certainly use as inspiration. I really have to wonder, if my generation and all since, had felt the same way as this man about our country...would it be in the shape it's in right now??

I very seriously doubt it.

Oh and Roger from Idaho Daily Photo has awarded me was this...
