HAPPY NEW YEAR

Gold New Year
Comment Graphics at pYzam.com

Well, it's 2008. The start of a brand new year. Did I make any resolutions? The answer is only one and that was to be a better person. Forget the diet/working out resolution... I started working out that back in December. So what was your New Years resolution, if any?

Speaking of working out... I was weighed in last week. I had lost 1.5 lbs, 2 inches off my arms, an inch off my waist. My "girls" lost a 1/2 inch as well. I really wasn't too upset about that with it being the holidays and all. I have been eating a few of the goodies ... It will only get better.

Sunday night on
Turnbaby's radio show, if you missed it listen to the archives, Turn and Vinny got to talk to Matt. This was, of course, after he FINALLY got back home from being stuck in the mud. Yes, you heard me right... he and Justin, "his big brother" had gone muddin' and got stuck... on top of a hill... and couldn't get down. Matt had to call a friend and have them pulled out. I wasn't for sure if he would make it home in time or not but he did.

Today we will have the traditional black eyed peas, hog jowl, turnip greens and cornbread for lunch. We will leave around 3:30 - 4:00 pm headed to Nashville to take Matt back to the airport. Today I will get to meet a wonderful lady, a fellow blogger, who has become a very dear friend,
Lois from Lowdown from Lois. She has said that she would meet us at the airport... I can hardly wait to meet her. I'm so excited! What a way to start 2008! WHOOP! WHOOP!

Sadly, I must return to work tomorrow. I don't know if the IT clods still have me blocked or not but I will find out. If so, I will have to start posting from home at night.

With all this being said, I must go for now. I've got a million things to do before this afternoon. Hey y'all... 2008 is going to be a GREAT year!

SMOOCHES~

Nicely done on the working out, Dix! I don't usually make resolutions but since I gained so much weight with this pregnancy in 2007, I have started back up with my routine today. I have, quite literally, a hundred pounds to lose. Yech!

Happy New Year Dixie luv!!

My resolutions are for a healthier, happier me - in all aspects.

No specifics, cuz they tend to stunt the process, but we all know that means less ample hips....

Good job on the loss. :D

SMOOCHES.

I was laughing out loud when you were telling your Marine not to show his chewed up food....you could have a career as a drill sargent! (but really...isn't that what a Mama is?)
