The Man ... The Music ... The Icon

Yesterday, I felt like a piece of my youth had been totally ripped from me. I could not believe the text message that I had received from my daughter-in-law. It read... "RIP Michael Jackson". I texted her back and told her that was not funny, not to be joking like that... she wasn't. Over on my Facebook, there was a thingy, I don't know what you call it, that asked you to pick your 5 favorite Michael Jackson songs. Do you realize just how hard that was... I picked 5 but my, my it wasn't easy. Everything he did was wonderful. Michael may be gone from this earth but he will ALWAYS be alive as we will always have his music!!! He left us with wonderful treasures ... he left us with his iconic music...

Day 2

Can you believe it... I've posted for two days in a row now... WOW!!! I'm on a roll here.. ;-) Thanks everyone who went over to my friend Mitzi's blog and gave her words of encouragement. I truly remember the beginning of that rollercoaster ride almost two years ago... WOW, how time flies. Still taking my online classes, which I absolutley LOVE!!! I wish I had done this 26 years ago, I didn't ... could of, would of, should of... I didn't but I am now and I'm sitting at a 3.63 GPA. My summer is about to get very fun .... I will be traveling to Bristol, TN on Thursday to pick up Tyler. He will be spending the summer with Mimi, Poppa T and KayKay. I am so looking forward to having him here. Ashley is scheduled to do her two week Army Reserve training beginning next weekend. After she completes that, then she is taking a military hop to see her husband in beautiful SPAIN! I'm so jealous but I know that I'll get pics of Spain when she goes. Have been on pins and needles with work. We all know that the automotive industry has gone to hell in a hand basket. I've decided that I'm not going to worry about it because there is absolutely nothing I can do... I'll keep riding that horse until it falls over dead and then I'll go find a new one. Well, I'll try for day 3 tomorrow. Until then... SMOOCHES~

For Mitzi and Brian

I know y'all remember almost 2 years ago now all the love and support you gave me when Matt left for boot camp... well...... I've got a really close friend, Mitzi, actually we've been friends since childhood, and her son Brian ships out tomorrow for boot camp with the United States Coast Guard. I know all the feelings she is experiencing and if y'all could just hop over to her blog http://mitzi4vols.blogspot.com/ and give Mitzi the encouragement like you did me I'll dance at your wedding.. ;-)) Make sure you tell here Lee Ann sent ya because I don't believe she will have a clue who Dixie is.. well, she will now!!! I can't believe it's been almost 6 months since I've made a post ... where does time go??? Anyways, I'm asking for your help and then I'll update y'all later on what's been happening in my life.
